I must say that Josh and I are spoiled. Yesterday afternoon my mom came over and kept me company for a few hours. We sat on the couch and talked and she got to feel Jack moving for a good 10 minutes. He's finally starting to dance for other people (other than Josh).
While I was at work Sharon and Rick came over and fixed up the place for us... that was an awesome treat when I got home! The dishes were done, the kitchen cleaned (awesome) and the baby room is getting started.
I've decided that I hate working second shift. I like everything about it other than the fact that I'm on the opposite schedule of everyone else in the world. I'm hoping that when the baby comes I'll feel better about the opposite shifts but at this point it sucks.
I'm definitely looking pregnant, there's no mistaking it now. Now matter what I wear I look pregnant. A few weeks ago I could wear my mens large sweatshirt and because it was so bulky you couldn't really see the belly. I wore that same sweatshirt again last week and holy crap, I looked pregnant! It's funny to me. I keep looking at my tummy in the mirror... I just can't believe that that's my son in there!
Physically I'm feeling much better than I was a few weeks ago. I don't have as many aches and pains which it great. My belly is feeling heavier but that's to be expected since there's so much water and baby in there. I'm starting to get hot very easily, but I kind of like that. I'm used to being cold a lot so it's a nice change. I'm definitely getting more emotional, I cry pretty much daily, mostly over silly things. I think I'm finally starting to get the hang of being/feeling pregnant and it's not so bad!
30 week pics coming soon...
p.s. totally wearing sweats to work today!

Advice
I'm used to getting little tid bits of advice from people about being pregnant and how to be a mother which is fine, most of it has actually been helpful. However, there is one person that gives advice/lectures on almost a daily basis about what I should and should not be doing. Yesterday, for example, I was lectured on three different subjects:
1) I should not be out in the sun.
Advice giver: You shouldn't lay out in the sun, you will fry your baby. My pregnant friends used to lay out on the beach and I'd tell them that if they wanted to kill their baby they should've just got an abortion.
Me: I was in and out of the sun for only a few hours and made sure that I kept my body cool by either shade or soaking myself in water. I stayed hydrated and only got a little pink. No harm done.
2) I should not be taking motrin.
Advice giver: I feel so sick today.
Me: I have motrin if you'd like some.
Advice giver: You're not supposed to take that when you're pregnant.
Me: I don't, I've had that bottle since before I got pregnant.
Advice giver: Well, you shouldn't take anyway, your liver can't break it down.
3) I should not be working overtime.
Advice giver: You look tired.
Me: I'm pregnant and it's 11pm
Advice giver: You shouldn't work overtime when you're pregnant. You should be home resting.
Me: I'm tired because it's 11pm, not from working OT. I sit at a desk most of the day, it's hard to get tired from that.
4) I should not get angry.
Me: (I can't remember how the conversation started but I mentioned something that pissed me off)
Advice giver: You shouldn't get angry when your pregnant or your baby will have a bad temper.
Other topics include ultrasounds, my diet, exercise, labor, etc...
I want to say that I would NEVER put my baby or myself in danger. I know that I'm more relaxed about the pregnancy this time but that does not mean I'm harming the baby in anyway. Anything that I do that's questionable I talk to the doctors first to make sure I'm not doing anything wrong. She's driving me crazy! The down side is that other than this annoying advice she gives me I really like her so I can't tell her to shut up. But I've got to look on the bright side... only to more weeks of listening to her!

Hot Weather + Somersworth + 30 Weeks Pregnant
Holy craps it's hot... but I'm not complaining! I'm so excited for hot weather, however, I have to be careful not to let my body temp rise too much because Jack doesn't like that. He's not able to regulate his body temp, that's my job.
Josh and I did some yard work (because we have our very own yard!) and then Josh grilled some hamburgers for lunch. After that I was a little tired but not ready to go back in the house so I laid out in the back yard in the sun and it felt so good but it was very hot. I had a jug of water with me so I poured water over my head and belly. That kept my nice and cool in the hot sun. When I pulled my shirt up to expose my belly to the sun Jack would react to the light (he's able to see light through my tummy now) and start kicking. I was only out for maybe an hour because I didn't want to get too hot but it was awesome. After that Josh and I lounged in the shade for a bit. I ended up drinking 2 gallons of water yesterday, I think that's a new record!
He didn't move too much this past week which made me nervous (because he's normally very active) but he was moving enough to not raise any red flags. Yesterday I think he decided that he'd show me everything was okay because he moved ALL day long. It was a big relief to feel him acting like his normal little fetal self again.
Yesterday Jack found new places to poke me. his feet were up so high it felt like he could touch my heart... it was the weirdest feeling! He was also tickling my ribs that are right under my boobs. He's about 3 pound and 16 inches long. I can't believe he's getting so big! I can't wait to meet him!
(when viewing these pictures keep in mind that I live in Somersworth now so I can get away with it.)

29 weeks
Nothing too exciting is happening this week... This is the first week that I've felt fat as previously discussed. It happened again a few days ago too. I think that I'm just getting bigger and I'm just not used to is. I feel like I look a lot bigger in person than in the pictures so maybe some of it's in my mind. However, I did wear a very cute outfit yesterday and felt like my adorable pregnant self again! :)
My feet are starting to swell by the end of the day. The last three days I've worn three different pairs of mildly high heel shoes, shoes that I've worn 100 time and by 6pm my feet are killing me and they're all red and puffy. My toes looks like little sausages. It's not a big deal since I love being bare foot, or at least wearing flip flops. I just need to find a way to get away with wearing them at work!

I'm still fighting off the illness from last week but I feel much better. I've been working a lot of overtime this week and shockingly I'm not exhausted... yet.
I can't wait for the nice weather this weekend! I'm planning on getting some much needed sun! I hope it stays nice like this for a long time.

rough sunday
Yesterday just wasn't a good day. I was super exhausted from having to get up so early Saturday and Sunday, still fighting off this illness and from being pregnant. I had my first little melt down about feeling fat. I'm shocked that I've made it this far but I've done so well knowing that I'm pregnant and not fat. Well yesterday I was having a hard time finding a shirt that made me look pregnant and not fat. All my cute little pregnant shirts are low cut so my cleavage shows and I feel like a tramp. And it's not that they are super low cut, it's just that my whole chest area is getting bigger and doesn't fit into my shirts like I want them to. All the other shirts are looser and while they do a good job of covering me up, I feel like they fit like mini moo-moos. Poor Josh, I'm sure he had a rough day as well because he had to spend it with me while I was being super bitch. But he was a trooper and was very nice and comforting. It probably would've erupted into a super meltdown if he wasn't there for me, in fact, I know it would have. I thank God everyday for my wonderful husband. I don't know what I'd do without him!

birth class
Hooray! We finished our prepared childbirth class. It was a crash course in labor, delivery and newborn care. It was very informative but very boring. We're both very glad it's over. At the end of class today I had had enough. We all had to try swaddling a doll, Josh had no problem but for whatever reason I just couldn't do it. I was so over tired that I almost cried. The woman that teaches the class is a visiting nurse like my mom, so I have a teacher built into the family that can teach me the art of swaddling when I'm not on the verge of tears or homicide. I also have two kitties that I'm going to practice on, I just need to trim their nails first!
Out of the 8 couples in the class 2 do not know what they were having and one couple is having twin girls. All the others are having boys. Boys are in this season, I guess.

Sunday MORNING
I'm putting off getting ready for our second childbirth class. It's 6:30 am right now and I can't really function this early anymore... I feel pretty brain dead. The class is super boring but hopefully today will go better. Is it possible to die from exhaustion? I wish you could see the expression on my face... I really do look brain dead.
p.s. I'm 29 weeks today.

28 weeks
I had my 28 week appointment yesterday where I had to have a glucose test. I've been feeling very sick the past few days so I don't really feel like eating. I had a granola bar when I first got up and started feeling nauseous after that. I got the the dr. office 5 minutes late and the woman at the desk told me that normally they'd make me reschedule since I'm 15 minutes late but because I was doing that glucose testing I didn't have to. I pointed out that I was only 5 minutes last but apparently I was supposed to show up early to drink that glucose drink... it would've been nice of I was told. I went out back to sip on the drink, it was actually pretty tasty, just like orange soda, but I had to drink it kind of fast and that made me feel sick. I then went into see the midwife, who gave me an informational packet that I was supposed to get at the last appointment detailing this appointment and how I was supposed to show up early... nice. Jack's doing great, he has a strong heartbeat, I'm measuring right on track and I gained 3.5lbs, that would be 14.5 total so far. The midwife cultured my throat for strep and gave me a prescription for zithromax (just in case the test is positive.) After that I had my blood drawn and was told I'd find out by today if I failed the blood test, and if I did I'd have to go back for another test that would take 3 hours. I haven't heard from them yet so keep your fingers crossed! I should hear back by Monday about the strep.
Off to the pharmacy I went with my prescription. I told the pharmacy tech that I'd never been there before and gave her all my information and insurance card. 20 minutes later I was called up to the counter to be rung out. She asked if my bday was 4/9, I said no and looked at the paperwork she had on the counter that stated my address was Regina Rd. I, as calmly as possible, explained that that was NOT ME! I thought considering I'd never been there before and gave them all my information they should've gotten it right. I'm starting to tire of the confusion. I know it's not that big a deal, but when it happens at hospitals and pharmacies that makes me nervous. I'd bet money that when I deliver this baby they'll think I'm Ashley J.
I'm still sick and feel like crap but my mom, husband and kitties are taking care of me. I stayed home from work Wednesday and Thursday. I'm going to attempt to go today, but I don't know how long I'll last. Last night I was laying on the couch sweating so I opened all the windows and took off my shirt. Too bad I didn't get a picture of that, I totally brought sexy back!
Tomorrow we start are childbirthing classes as 8am. We're taking the weekend class so we go Saturday and Sunday 8-1 and then we're done! Hopefully we won't see or hear anything scary.
It was brought to my attention by dear sister-in-law that I looked cute at 22 weeks... (isn't she sweet) so I thought for fun I'd take my 28 week pic in the same shirt I was wearing at 22 weeks to see if I still look cute, ha ha! I appear to be a little rounder now.

27 week update
Sleeping sucks. Sleeping on either side makes my ribs throb and I'm not supposed to sleep on my back unless I wedge a pillow under the side of me... that's not comfortable either. Last night I wrapped that boppy pillow around me, kind of like a nest which worked for about 4 hours... that's the longest I've slept all at once in a while. Of course my ginger baby isn't helping much either. I think he's trying to prepare me for a baby because he likes to wake me up every few hours. It's also hard to find a comfortable position sitting at a computer all night at work.

Alright, I'm done complaining... for now. I bought some mens large v-neck undershirts the other day and they are sooooooooo comfortable. They're pretty big right now, but once I get a little bigger I'm going to try to fancy them up somehow and see if I can get away with wearing them at work. Probably not, but a girl can dream, can't she?! I've gotten away with wearing sweatpants so who knows.
Jack's moving around all the time, he doesn't stop very often. Lately his thing seems to be sticking his feet in my ribs, silly boy! Even though it doesn't always feel good it's comforting to feel/see my sweet boy moving all the time.
I've plastered my cubicle walls with the ulrasound pics so I can stare at Jack all day long. His pictures almost out number Josh's, but not yet. Since Jack looks so much like Josh I like to think of him as my 'Travel Size Josh', that helps when I'm missing Josh a lot.
Here are belly pics from today, it's starting to feel heavy. My belly button hasn't popped yet, but it's getting closer.

26 weeks
On Sunday we're getting a 3d/4d ultrasound! I'm very excited to see our little guy again. I'll post the pics as soon as I can.

Sleeping comfortably is getting very difficult. I didn't think this would happen until very late in the pregnancy but it started a few weeks ago. I bought on of those Boppy body pillows but it seemed to make things worse. I FINALLY found a comfortable position this morning (after Josh left), but it involved me stealing Josh's pillow so I don't think that will fly when he's home.
The baby has been very active lately which is fun. He was tickling my rubs the other day... what an odd feeling! Last night at work he was moving so much that someone saw my stomach moving, her face was priceless!
My mom brought over a bassinet that my nephew used to use and set it up in the living room. While I was at work Binkie made himself right at home in it and napped for a few hours. Josh got this picture for me.

And here is me at 26 weeks:
