25 weeks

This week I felt the baby move in parts of my abdomen that I've never felt before... he's definitely growing! I felt him hiccuping this week too! I'm living a little dangerously and took my 25 week pictures bare bellied! View these images at your own risk.

My belly button has almost popped out. I give it a couple more weeks.

I normally feel the baby in the black area. But lately he's been stretching up to the red area. Neato.

We've reached the double digits... only 99 days to go!

Baby Room

We've officially started working on the baby room today! We didn't get very far but at least we got it started. Now it's time to rest. :)

24 weeks

I went to my 24 week appointment yesterday and to my surprise I only gained 1 pound since my last appointment! I was quite shocked because I was sure that I gained a good 8-10 pounds. The baby is doing great and his heart rate is 140. I told the doctor that my sides have been pretty sore lately and she pretty much said it's only going to get worse... awesome. I'm sore and feel huge but still have 16 weeks to go. I can't imagine how I'm going to feel 16 weeks from now. Yikes!

We're almost done fixing up our bedroom which means we'll be able to start on the baby room soon (we're currently sleeping in the baby's room).

Cramp

I woke up this morning to a wicked cramp in my foot. I read all about these leg/foot cramps that women have when pregnant and thought it was awesome that I haven't had any yet. I've had them before so I know they suck. I hope I don't get anymore. I'm not sure what I did to bring it on but I was able to rub my foot to make it feel better.

24 weeks

Per babycenter:
Your pregnancy: 24 weeks
See the big picture
How your baby's growing:Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long (picture an ear of corn), he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.See what your baby looks like this week. (Or see what fraternal twins look like in the womb this week.)Note: Every baby develops a little differently — even in the womb. Our information is designed to give you a general idea of your baby's development.
How your life's changing:In the past few weeks, the top of your uterus has risen above your belly button and is now about the size of a soccer ball.

I'm starting to feel like I'm bulking up. My stomach is obviously expanding but within the past week I feel like my legs, butt, face and arms are starting to expand as well... gross. It doesn't help that all I want to eat is Chinese food, grape soda and Oreos. I've got a doctor appointment on Thursday so I'll get to see how much I've gained since last time... hopefully it won't be too much but I feel like I've gained 20 pounds this week.

23 weeks

23 Weeks per babycenter.com
Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance (Josh says that this is unfortunate... he just doesn't appreciate my stellar dance moves). And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound (about as much as a large mango), you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes (I can and it's very cool). Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.
I started working second shift this week and I'm absolutely exhausted. The job itself is much easier and less stressful which is nice. But I really miss our old routine. Hopefully this will get easier soon.
The pictures are from Tuesday. The second one looks kind of funny because of the V shape.

22 weeks

I've got some pictures from today where I'm 22 weeks and 5 days. This shirt isn't going to see the light of day for a long time. And I included my head! :)
