Beach Baby!

Jack has been having trouble with bathtime lately... he wants NOTHING to do with it. It appeared that he suddenly had a fear of water but I learned this weekend that that's not the case. Friday after work we went to Jenness Beach and he couldn't get enough of the ocean! He chased the waves and got soaked as the tide came in and he loved EVERY second of it. I brought him out deeper into the water (it was up to my waist) and was dunking him in and he loved that too. We has so much fun that we went back on Saturday. I was a little cooler in York so we spend too much time in the water but he enjoyed the outing just the same. Here some of our York pictures.

11 Months

At 11 months he's eating everything/anything he can get into his mouth. We have yet to find something that he doesn't like, he even likes limes and grapefruit. If someone is eating around him or he even smells food he has to eat. Yesterday we went to my sister's for a cookout and he ate chicken, veggies, fruit, cheerios, hamburger, a little bit of cheese, pasta, etc... he's a machine.

Everyday he's taking more steps than the day before. Saturday he took 7 and as I'm writing this he's stomping around room... we're at 12 so far today!

Painting!

Jack and I like to fingerpaint. Some of you were lucky enough to see the Jack Tara original that he gave Auntie Ashley for Christmas. He's been painting up a storm ever since. We managed to catch a glimpse of the artist on a creativity break.

9 Month Checkup

Yay for no shots! He's in the 50-60% for weight, 80% for both height and head circumfrance. He weighs 22 pounds and is 30ish inches long. Doctor said that Jack and I get an A++!

Jack's been eating a lot of adult food. I grind it up in the food processor and HE loves it. His favorite so far is porkcops and applesauce, mmmm so good! He's getting better at holding anf drinking from his sippy cup, I'm very proud of him!

We've been brushing his teeth on a daily basis and he loves it. Tonight he even protested when I put the toothbrush away.

He's very good at understanding words and he's learning them quickly. He knows where mama's nose is, he knows Elmo, piano, kitty, all his family members, girlfriend, wave, etc... this list really goes on and on. He's excelling in 'high-fives' and gives them out as often as he can!
